school of

Barbizon painters.
Jean-Francois Millet is the most popular painter through his masterpieces the Angelus and The Gleaners, illustrating the life of peasants in the 19th century. Originally painters fled Paris, for at that time an epidemic was raging in the capital. Artists in search of fresh air in the countryside, and at the same time a new source of inspiration.
The forest of Fontainebleau, south is extremely rich and diverse, it offers a playground for painters of the time, and even today, photographers accompanying the painters in the exploration of this beautiful forest.
